Medical Student rotation schedules are designed as follows:
| 13 | 10 hour emergency department shifts |
| 1 | 10 hour trauma shift |
| 1 | Optional paramedic ride-along shift |
| 4 | Tuesday resident conferences |
| 2 | Faculty conferences: procedure lab and teaching rounds |
| Var | Simulation cases, held on Tuesday during conference |
| Var | Journal club, held every other month- date to be determined |
| Final Day | Case presentation, final written exam, debrief |
Note: The ED shifts are comprised of 3 night shifts, 2 attending-only shifts in Fast Track, and 1 Peds ED shift, with the remaining shifts focused in the main Emergency Department. Availability varies month to month based on the time of year and the current resident/attending schedules in the emergency room. Schedules will be posted at this web site under the password protected Scheduling section. User name and password will be emailed to you prior to the start of your rotation.
